Misery
She walks down fields so green
Hoping that her lover remains unseen
Fingers of death stretched out from earth
Clinging to her once sheer dewy gown intricately divine and pure
The feel of it, soft to touch yet so demure
Her alabaster skin now battered by thorns
Barely covered by her tunic now tattered and torn
Voices, she hears them from high up the cliffs
Calling down to her through the trees riffs
So she levitates flying free of deaths beak
Unknown to her what awaits her soul at the peak.
His hands, she feels as she goes
Quickened beats of her heart for what it knows
She hears the whispers like those of his but unfamiliar
I'll hold you for eternity my sweetness
Your beauty I'll preserve for earths greatness
Those words once said but never true
Where the elements warnings her only clue
But her memories of shivering beneath his aura
Blocked her path to know nd so he lured her
Up and at the top where she was elevated
Was the face of death she met as it was fated
And then from one unto another
Unknown becomes the known from then on yonder
A whiff from him she fell in awe and wonder
To vow on her rebirth never to surrender
Hoping that her lover remains unseen
Fingers of death stretched out from earth
Clinging to her once sheer dewy gown intricately divine and pure
The feel of it, soft to touch yet so demure
Her alabaster skin now battered by thorns
Barely covered by her tunic now tattered and torn
